PTI’s Planned Peshawar Rally a “Ridiculous Joke”

Peshawar: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Additional Secretary Information, Arbab Khizer Hayat, has dismissed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) plan to hold a rally in Peshawar on September 27 as a “ridiculous joke,” particularly criticizing Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s claim of gathering one crore participants.

In a statement issued on Monday, Arbab Khizer Hayat challenged the PTI leadership, stating, “Let them try to gather even five thousand people.” He said that organizing such a rally for the release of PTI’s founding chairman defies logic and reflects misplaced priorities.

“If the Chief Minister truly has courage, he should dare to hold a rally across Attock,” Hayat remarked, alluding to PTI’s limitations beyond its stronghold.

He further asserted that despite utilizing all state machinery and resources, the September 27 rally is destined to fail, claiming that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have already rejected the “incompetent” provincial government.

Highlighting the deteriorating law and order situation and rising corruption in the province, the PML-N leader said such rallies and protests would only result in further embarrassment for the ruling party. He urged the PTI-led government to focus on combating terrorism and addressing governance issues instead of expending energy on political theatrics.
